ABOUT HAMILO COAST
Escape to breathtaking Hamilo Coast, SM Land's premier, sustainable leisure destination in Nasugbu, Batangas.
5,800 hectares of natural beauty spread across 13 picturesque coves, 25 kilometers of pristine beachfront, forests, mountains, limestone cliffs, and rock formations.
Look forward to a variety of leisure lifestyle options among a network of leisure communities to be built, offering residential condominiums, villas, residential lots, and hotels. Recreational facilities such as exclusive and members-only club will also offer an immediate escape from the city all year-round. Land- and water-based activities providing an interactive nature experience completes the distinctive Hamilo Coast leisure lifestyle.
Hamilo Coast will be an enduring leisure destination for those who seek a genuine sense of escape and retreat into nature, building a tradition and reputation for world-class leisure living.
Following a long-term masterplan, only 1,800 hectares of the entire property will be developed, leaving the rest untouched to allow nature to constantly flourish. A long-term and comprehensive partnership with World Wide Fund (WWF-Philippines) is in place to ensure the development's genuine sustainability, with projects in the areas of coastal resource management, solid waste management, and renewable energy. These measures ensure preservation of Hamilo.

HOW TO GET THERE
Hamilo Coast is currently accessible by land via the traditional tagaytay-nasugbu rout, which is roughly 114 kilometers of 2.5 hours travel.
In 2011, a ferry service from the Mall of Asia Complex to Hamilo Coast will be operational to service residents, club members, and guests. This will cut travel time from Manila to 1.5 hour, or 70 kilometers.
THE 13 COVES
13 awe-inspiring coves distinguish Hamilo Coast from other seaside residential and leisure properties in the country. Aside from the abundant topography of the entire Hamilo Coast, each cove has a story of its own, which will surely arouse interest of sight seers and nature enthusiasts on a trip around the 5,800 hectare property.
PICO DE LORO COVE
Initial developments at Hamilo Coast are found at Pico de Loro Cove. It is named after its evident backdrop, Mt. Pico de Loro, the highest point within Cavite and Batangas and famed for seasoned hikers. The mountain is similarly know for its parrot beak-like tip, which is more pronounced when viewed from Pico de Loro Cove. Pico de Loro Cove will be home to 9 low impact and midrise residential condominiums, a four-hectare saltwater lagoon, a hotel, and the Pico de Loro Beach & Country Club. It is a marine reserve or an area where fishing will be restricted.
PAPAYA COVE
Papaya Cove is named after the fruit it resembles when viewed from above. It remains home to a fishing community and has been a site of mangrove reforestation efforts with the said residents.
It is a natural harbor with calm waters all-year round and will be the future docking area of Hamilo residents and guests coming from the Mall of Asia Complex ferry terminal.
SANTELMO COVE
Santelmo Cove was named after the ball of fire or "St. Elmo's Fire" local residents attest seeing in the area. It also has one of the best beachfronts in Hamilo Coast with its pristine, and white sand and turquoise waters.
Olive Ridley and Green Sea Turtles or "pawikan" also visit the place occasionally to nest. Giant clams or "taklobos" along with a diverse variety of sea creatures likewise make Santelmo an ideal spot for snorkeling and diving. It is a marine sanctuary or a no-take zone—an area where fishing will not be allowed.
ETAYO COVE
Etayo was coined from the Sanskrit term for "of the two", referring to Etayo's two smaller coves which share a common shoreline. It was once said to be a refuge of pirate vessels and a popular berthing place of ships because of its thick foliage. Etayo Cove, like Pico de Loro Cove is a marine reserve. Fishing in the area will therefore be restricted. It is also home to endemic marine life, making it a favored spot for dive enthusiasts.
PATUNGAN COVE
Patungan Cove is named after the barangay which resides in the area. It is also said to be the favorite getaway of a former president who would often go barefoot by the the beach.
NEELA COVE
Neela is coined after the Sanskrit term which means "blue", akin to the crystal clear blue waters of the cove. It is also said to be the site of a sunken Japanese warship.
LIMBONES COVE
Similar to Neela Cove, Limbones Cove is also said to be the site of sunken Spanish galleons and warships.
BUCANITA COVE
Bucanita means "small opening" or "bukana" in the vernacular. A small tunnel is the main highlight of the said cove. One can kayak his/her way through the small opening to enjoy views from the other side of the tunnel. On the hills of the cove, the same president was said to have conducted searches for gold ores.
SUBLI COVE
Subli was named after a favorite local dance performed in the month of May during fiestas
DORADO COVE
Dorado was named after the fish often caught off the shores of this cove.
BAYBAY COVE
Baybay means "coast" in Filipino while Baybayin is the historical term used for the Alibata or Philippine alphabet. This name was used to describe the rock formations that mimic the form of some Alibata letters.
BALIBAGO COVE
Balibago takes after Sanskrit word for "small semicircle" that characterizes the topography of the cove.
ARKAYA COVE
Arkaya Cove derived its name from two Sanskrit words—arka and vayu which means "essence of the sun and wind".
Pico de Loro Cove promotes a uniquely convenient vacation lifestyle through its residential condominium offerings—nine buildings of low-impact residential condominiums surround a four-hectare saltwater lagoon.
Each structure bears a Tropical Contemporary design, six to seven stories high and highlighted by modern lines and weather-resistant materials that blend seamlessly with the cove's natural bounties. Spacious interiors and a wide array of unit sizes are being offered to match various leisure living preferences. Most units also come with extensive balcony areas and large bay windows, giving residents priceless panoramas of the surrounding mountains, sea, and lagoon. A promenade ringing the area is perfect for interacting with neighbors and leisurely walks toward the beach.
The convenience of a quick weekend getaway truly becomes a reality at Pico de Loro's residential condominiums. Take a weekend or out-of-town trip anytime you wish, and just lock up your unit and leave. Round-the-clock security, reliable utilities, property maintenance, and other modern amenities give the discerning weekender the peace of mind they truly deserve. Market Research
Costa del Hamilo, Inc. has been actively spearheading various initiatives to protect Hamilo Coast's marine life and natural landscape. These initiatives include:
Partnership with WWF-Philippines
Costa del Hamilo, Inc. is an active player in coastal regeneration efforts through its partnership with Hamilo Coast's local communities and fisherfolk cooperatives.
Coastal Regeneration Efforts
The developer aspires to be a responsible steward of Hamilo Coast and counts the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) as a valuable partner in caring for the natural environment of the property. Through the guidance of WWF, the developer ensures that its land development and operations preserve and sustain the area's natural resources.
Clam Seeding
Almost two hundred giant taklobos (giant clams) now inhabit the shores of Pico de Loro and Santelmo Coves. These clams provide nurseries for a host of fish and invertebrate species found in the pristine waters of Hamilo Coast and are also beneficial in restoring marine water quality.
Coastal Cleanup and Educational Campaigns
The developer regularly conducts coastal cleanups and educational campaigns for school children and local communities, to encourage and increase awareness toward environmental conservation and protection.
